Butterfly is an advanced, yet simple and very lightweight music player for Windows. It's completely free to download and use. Butterfly is also open source. There's no nags, adware or spyware. Just the experience of blazingly fast and lean player. No bloat.

As Butterfly is available completely free to download and use, you might want to donate some amount of money to support the future development of Butterfly. However, donating is not mandatory and you can use Butterfly even if you don't want to donate.

Download the latest version. It includes a simple installer for end users who just want to use and enjoy Butterfly player.

For developers, full source code is also available. Butterfly is licenced under the GPL licence. You will also need to download Boost and Libzplay in order to build the source code. If you need help building the source code, please contact me by email.

Butterfly is developed on 64 bit Windows 8.1 Professional. However, it's actively tested on Windows 7, both 32 and 64 bit versions. Windows XP or Windows Vista are not supported. There will not be a Linux version of Butterfly, please don't ask about it.
