Multi-User and Save/Restore Settings facility

Je viens de lire ce sujet sur le forum officiel et je le rapatrie ici. Il s'agit d'un utilitaire en développement permettant une utilisation multi-utilisateurs de Maxthon. Je penses que c'est une affaire à suivre pour ceux qui comme moi sont obligé de faire une installation par utilisateur.

The newest Beta-version (0.7.3) of this program is now available for download and testing.

 

This is an interim version to check for a few reported errors.

It contains an almost complete Editor/Ini-File-Generator also.

(Functionally only some small parts are not yet implemented, no Text-file for localisation - it comes later.)

 

The file MultUsAve_073.zip is the full package and includes all the files in MultUsAve070_Docu.zip, which is just the documentation-part of the package (including the Stand-alone Help-function).

The documentation is just about half-way to being ready, but the package must be completed first.

 

Main functions:

1.) To allow one copy of Maxthon running for more than one user with each user having and using his/her own settings.

...Which files and where to save are specified in an ini-file.

...(Although it is designed for Maxthon, it is highly parameterised to allow its usability for any program - including MyIE2.)

2.) Save/restore current settings of Maxthon (MyIE2, etc) also as part of a plugin.

...You can have

.....a.) A Standard Settings-set which can be loaded every time you load Maxthon (etc),

................ so that any temporary changes of options do not have to be reset before leaving Maxthon.

.....b.) Special names for saved Settings-sets. (Favourites)

.....c.) Normally the saved settings are stored with a time-stamp

.....d.) Assign comments to the Saved-Settings.

3.) Allow automatically starting other programs when loading Maxthon (...)
